- Headset is the bearing system connecting the fork to the head tube so the bars can steer smoothly.
- Main types: threaded and threadless. Standards include EC (external cup), ZS (zero stack), IS (integrated).
- Top and bottom head-tube bore diameters may differ — match the headset to the frame.
